Martićeva and the streets around it are where locals go out, not where tourists are sent. These are the five places we point guests to first.
Mr. Fogg
A steampunk-styled cocktail bar named after Phileas Fogg, three minutes from the apartment. Cocktails are made properly and the crowd is relaxed. Good first stop, or last.
Program Bar
One of our regular spots, a short walk from the apartment. Ask us what to order. Program Bar on the map.
Craft beer on the corner
Zagreb has a strong craft beer scene and the Design District has its share of taprooms. Ask us for the current favourite; they change, and we keep the list fresh.
Wine bars towards the square
Walk west along Vlaška towards the cathedral and you pass several small wine bars pouring Croatian wine by the glass. Try a Plavac Mali from Dalmatia or a Malvazija from Istria.
Tkalčićeva, if you want the crowd
Fifteen minutes on foot, the pedestrian street behind the cathedral has a bar every few metres. Loud, fun and open late. Taxis back are a few euros.
If none of this is your thing, message us and tell us what you like. We’ll send you somewhere better.
